Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

(Bottle) Purchased at Beers of the World in Rochester, NY. Pours a medium, tan head with an opaque body. Nose is mildly hoppy beneath the coffee aroma. The flavour is somwhat thinner that I had expected - the hops in the nose never transpired to the tongue; it became simple oily coffee sediment and molasses. Good.

355ml bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki , American Week 2007). Doesn’t know what it wants to be. Some bitterness, some sourness, and, as common in US beers, plenty of sweetness. Not particularly well combined either, a bit chemical.

Dark amber, nice offwhite head. Aroma from ashes, coffee, cocoa, toffee notes and milk chocolate. Tar flavor, roasted, a bit vinous and sourish, fruity, some juniper berries. Salty, hoppy finish with sour notes.

[Bottled RBESG 2006] Dark brown colour. Fatty hop nose with toast malts along with a rubbery touch. Very dark in its aroma profile. Fruity backbone, dark flavours and pretty caramelly and sweet. A good amount of hops add balance. Medium bitter.

Bottle poured a translucent reddish black. Aromas of cocoa, coffee, and roasted malts. Palate is on the light side but smooth and creamy. Flavors of cocoa, roasted malt and a hint of coffee.
