Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

Dark blackish-brown hue, with a frothy tan-colored head, with a mild dark roasted malt nose, with a hint of fruitiness, chocolate and mocha accents, coffee note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a smooth chocolatey malt character, with some roasted coffee beans notes, fruity accent, subtle hops flavor, leading towards a bitter chocolate and lingering delicate hops bitterness finish.

Pours deep mahogany into a shaker. Mocha head recedes leaving no lacing. Smoked dark chocolate aromas. Upfront lightly carbonated with chocolate and smoke, but well-balanced with slight hops in the dry finish.

Bottle. Smells like a kitty litter box-I smell NH4. Very tart taste. Some sweet sugar comes through, but it is dulled by the sourness. Some cherry and other fruit on the back end. The finish is sour. I like sour beers, but is this porter supposed to be sour?

Deep dark mahogany body with nice tan head. Roasted coffee nose. Some chocolate. Light bodied for a porter. Flavor keeps the essences of coffee and chocolate and a hint of citrus trying to poke its way through. Good stuff.

See through black with lots of ruby and two fingers of active large bubbles in a tan head lots of roasted coffee and malt aroma and some bitter cocoa beans. Light body, a roasted malt taste with a finish of chocolate and coffee bitterness.

bottle- Dark reddish brown with large but not lasting head. Aroma is liquorice and black currant. Flavour is somewhat roasty with notes of liquorice and black currant. I also found it just a little bit too thin and a little bit over carbonated. I’ve had better Porters.

I did enjoy this beer, but I felt the taste was a little bland, nice smooth taste with subtle flavors of coffee. Quite drinkable

Pours black with a reddish streak. Diminishing yellowish head. Sweet roasted malty aromas. A bit sour- and bitterness too. Aromas of coffe, bread, hops, chocolate, port and dark fruits. Smoked coffee finish. (Smoked coffee?! Yeah right.) Very nice stout, could be a bit less sour and watery, though.
