Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

Very dark brown with an Ok, but quickly disappearing head. The aroma has notes of malt, chocolate and coffee. The flavour is slightly sweet with notes of coffee, licorice and a moderate bitterness. The overall impression is light, but quite nice. It’s easy to drink, and it must be a beginner-friendly porter. 1813

Bottle. Pours a pitch black colour with a nice creamy light brownish head leaving a good lacing. Nice roasty maltiness in the aroma along with bitter hops and chocolate. Quite good mouthfeel. The roasted malt, the bitter hops, chocolate and the bit of coffee gives this beer a flavour of a real porter. Soft roasty maltiness in the finish along with chocolate and bitter hops. Nice one!

Dark brown colour with a small tan head. Light sweet roasted malty chocolat aroma and a dry light roasted coffee taste. Medium body and a dry finish.

Bottle. Milk chocolate and grapes in the aroma. Sweet and milky flavor. Chocolate and grapes, toffee. Granny Smiths apples in the aftertaste. Only a touch of roasted malt. Tasty, but onedimensional.

A Mes rate: 355ml bottle at home with the lady. Dark almost opaque brown with a red hue at the edges. Roasted malty coffee with some sweet vanilla and a very slight soapyness. Sweet milky flavour with some caramel malt and milk chocolate. Very slight tartness. Plum? Finishes with a little cardboard and not enough good stuff. Decent but not great. Still surprised it isn’t a little more highly rated however.

Bottle, bought @ Ølkonsortiet, Aalborg. Pours a deep brown with a medium foamy yellowish head. Aroma has lots of dark chocolate, lightly roasted and sweet. Fin and lightish mouthfeel. Flavour is quite ashy dry, super roasted with dark coffee powder. A little too sharp and one-sided, but dries out well.
