Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

Bottle Pours a clear deep very dark redish brown witha very large and dense, lasting light tan head. Aroma is that common dark roasted slightly burnt sharp sourness. Some cocolate notes as well. Flavor is nice, roasted bitter chocolate and a little mocha. Feel is quite thin but nice and slick. Carbonation is moderate and all in all quite good.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a tan head that is little more than a thin layer of bubbles after a few seconds. Sweet roasted malt and a kind of funky cocoa/milk chocolate greet the nose, and flavors are consistent with this: a mix of cocoa, a little bit of peat, leather and vanilla. Mouthfeel is thin and silky, while finish is an odd mix of dry, earthy and sweet chocolate.

(Draught at Pikkulintu, Helsinki, on 2009-03-18) Almost black and clear. Small and tan coloured head. Liquorice and roastedness in aroma. Full bodied and quite dry palate with medium carbonation. Roastedness, liquorice, hint of coffee, bitterness and bit of mämmi in taste. Roastedness and bitterness in aftertaste.

Pours a very dark brown color with a 2 cm thick light tan head. Sweet rost flavor with a small hint of smokiness and a bit of dark chocolate. Creamy palate. Smooth taste - dark roast character throughout with a satisfyingly dry finish. I’m definitely going to put this into the session rotation.

Pours a deep mahogany with an off-white head. Aroma is hoppy and roasty. Taste is of roasted malt, coffee, mocha with a hint of dark fruit. Mildly bitter. Mouthfeel is thin to medium but very smooth. Pretty decent but it doesn’t come close to their other brews.

12 oz bottle. Pours a ruby/black with a light brown head but seems a little thin when held to a light. Aroma was of chocolate malt and a little coffee. Flavor was similiar but was on the watery side. Not sure I would call this a Robust Porter, perhaps Beginners Porter is more appropriate.

Dark on the pour. Nose has hints of roasted caramel and coffee ground. Finishes a bit dry with an aftertaste that leaves you missing something.
