Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

355 ml bottle.Dark brown, but holds a reddish ruby apricot-like colour when held up against the light. Throws a thick fine-laced light brownish head. Some yeasty aromas. Yeasty flavours at first, then blackberry. Gentle and easy-drinking. Light-bodied, but holds a good soft texture. A bit boring.

12 oz. bottle - thin, cola brown with trace white head; mild roast on the nose with nuts and touch of chocolate; coffee is a little harsh; super thin texture and flavor profile; get some vegi flavors too; blah; it’s too bad that a brewery that puts out some top shelf products also puts out a porter like this

[Tasted in Niels’ summerhouse with the RISKY-bros’.] Too much cabonation in this beer. After a while it went into its best temperature and it got only a little better, but had expected more from this very respected brewery. Better luck next time. Maybe it was a monday bottle.

On tap at Great Divide. Dark brown in color with a decent off-white head and some lacing. Very nice roast and caramel aroma. Flavor is roasted malt, caramel, toffee, and some mild hops. Body is medium and carbonation level is average.

Light roasted aroma, not much head, a full roasted malt and coffee taste, with some bitterness, a decent enough porter, but to thin to be ranked among the really good ones

Pours a nearly opaque black with very little light coming through. Thin but very dense head w/ nice lacing. Malty chocolate aroma. Tastes of dark chocolate with a little burnt wood. Good if not great.
