Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

Pours a nearly opaque black with very little light coming through. Thin but very dense head w/ nice lacing. Malty chocolate aroma. Tastes of dark chocolate with a little burnt wood. Good if not great.

Large creamy tan head, dark brown body. Sour and charred lactic acid aroma, with some chocolate to sweeten it up. Roasted nuts with a sweet milk overtone. Fizzy body.

Handsomely dark, somewhat weak head. Coffee and maltiness evident in the aroma. Slight fruitiness. Reminds me of an Abita turbodog. Do regional breweries ever share recipes? A little weak on the mouthfeel.

Color is black but it lets a bit of light threw. There is almost no carbonation or head. Aroma has a sour malt smell to it. Taste is flat and coffee like. It starts with a medium body that goes down with a slightly harsh coffee taste. The finish is lacking of flavor with a bland roasted malt taste. It seems to get flavor or bitterness from hops, in fact it seems like it gets a light bitterness from poorly roasted malt. To me it doesn’t fit the description of a Porter and the only good thing I can say is it doesn’t taste like it was made with bath water.

Not really a fan of porters. This one is different but I am still not crazy about it. Pours a nice dark chocolate color with a big bubbly foamy tan head. Tastes like burnt coffee and roasted malt. Pretty good but still has that yeasty aftertaste bite that I am not crazy about.

From lumpy! Bottle, poured dark brown, with huge tan head. Looks yummy. The aroma is Raosted and toasted, with chcolate as well. There is also some cherry(?) The mouth feel is actually king of empty. Lots of carbination, and a sour base. Not much coffee or chcolate. Ths taste likt coffe soda. Not nearly as good as it looks.

On tap at Rattle n Hum. Pours a clear cola brown with a medium to thick creamy light mocha head. Light roast and chocolate malt with a touch of caramel.. Nice roast, char, and light coffee flavors. Finishes up with a bit of warming alcohol, some roast, and a little bit more char.
