Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

12oz bottle-pours alight tan head and mahogany color. Aroma is medium malt-chocolate/caramel, dark fruit. Taste is medium malt-chocolate/caramel, dark fruit, then secondary hops. Nice, smooth. OK carbonation.

Diminishing off-white head. Cola colored. Soft cocoa aroma, gently roasty and evoking dates. Surprisingly thin palate, powdery texture, fairly hoppy yet quite sweet. A straightforward approach.

Rich, dark brown, almost black color with a good puffy sand-colored head. Light roasted aroma with subtle malty undertones. Flavor is subtle, roasted coffee, caramel and pine spinkled with dark chocolate. Body could be a touch thicker. A good, well-balanced porter, but not rich or complex enough to be top-notch.

This one’s up there with some of the better porters I’ve tried. If you can find it, grab one or two.

Bottle. Quite decent. A little bit sweet and lightly stale. But some nice light nuttyness and light mocha characters. A little bt jammy in the finish, with some light to medium bitterness in the finish.

Dark brown beer with a dense light brown head. Roasted malty aroma with a faint chocolate sweetness. Flavor has some roasted malts, a light sweetness and a dry hoppy finish.

Pours a nice brown with a smal head. Tastes of coffee and chocolate with a nutty aftertaste. Very good!
