| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 14, 2007 Deep, dark mahogany pour. Off-white head that starts out big but eventually settles to a thin rim. Spotty lacing. The aroma is of roasted barley, coffee, chocolate, biscuit, and faint smoke.. The flavor follows suit, with mocha up front, followed by roasted barley, oats, coffee bitterness, and some hops. The body is very smooth and creamy. There are no surprises here. This brew has all of the standard porter aromas and flavors. Nothing out of the ordinary, but very well crafted. Nice brew. explosivebeer (36), Washington, USA
