Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

Bottle. Nice creamy aroma with some sweet liquorice notes. Very dark brown colour, small unstable tan head. The flavour is creamy, hint of liquorice. Ending with slight smoke notes and a little cardboard. Also has a little alcohol towards end, but not really strong.

Dark brown in color with garnet at the edges and a uickly dissapating off white head. The aroma is of roasted malt, slight coffee and smoke, and then a nice nuttiness as it warms. Pronouced grain flavor with hints of caramel sweetness run over by a strong roasted finish. There is some bitterness and plenty of body, with a nice lingering aftertaste. This is a good American example of today’s porter style.

Poured from a March 2005 bottle, this beer looks nice, smells nice, and tastes pretty nice too. The appearance is a really dark mahogany that is possible to catch a glimpse of light through it. Nice tan head that disapated rather quickly but not fully. Good lacing to boot. The aroma is dark chocolate, espresso, earthy tones. The flavor is dark chocolate and dark pit fruits. Hugely roasty, grassy, earthy. The palate is smooth but a tad thin. Overall, I’d get this and recommend it as well.

12oz. bottle. Deep brown-red with a medium sized light brown head. Some lactic sweetness, and coffee in the aroma. Mild bittersweet chocolate, some nuttiness. Hints of coffee and coffe bean astringency in the finish with a mild resinous hop component. Mouthfeel is medium light, somewhat dry.

Dark, slighty reddish brown color with a creamy tan head. Very smooth on the palate if a bit thin for a porter. Flavor a little dry with lots of coffee and chocolate with a mildly bitter finish.
