Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

A 12 oz bottle with a month and week bottled on lable. The beer poured a dark brown with a coffee color head. The smell is of light hops and not much else. The taste is a wicked toasted malt and chocolate and toffe taste. Nice carbonation and smooth finish. This is a freaking good beer, not to heavy and full of flavor!

A robust porter at a deep discount, not sure of the age but it’s in real nice form. Dark brown almost black color, thin filmy tan head and moderate lacing. Roasted chocolate aroma with hints of cream, peat, and caramel. A whiff of Pacific Northwest hops is also detectable. Mouth feel is sweet at first from a medium malt body, then turns to a pleasant burnt bitterness. A little thin, especially considering the depth of flavor. Flavor is nutty with a good helping of roasted/burnt malts. Chocolate sweetness with great nuances of fermented plums and figs. Mellow floral hops make an appearance. A touch of star anise and vanilla round out the well blended flavors. There is also a nice subtle smoky aftertaste. Overall this porter feels like it’s spent some quality time in the bottle, the medley of flavors and aromas seem to be in great form.

Finally able to try this after a lot of places around me stopped carrying it. Aroma was a blend of chocolate and coffee. Tasted of burnt malt with hints of coffee. Fairly smooth. Coca-cola color. Little aftertaste

pours a dark brown with a red tint when held up to the light, a medium size dark beige head, and great lacing. smell of milk chocolate, weak coffee, and a touch of sour malt. taste is smooth and creamy, sour malt, cocoa, coffee, and a touch of roasted nuts, ends a little bitter and on the dry side.

12 oz bottle. Deep purple-black, clear but vary dark. Thick caramel-latte head, lasting. Bitter and sweet chocolates in the nose, hints of caramel and old pine boards. Rich chocolate front on the tongue, turning moderately bitter, espresso-inflected late..not as much body as it could have, but full and rich enough to be a good drinkable porter.
