Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

Pours dark (but not black) with a quickly diminsishing head. Smells roasty, hoppy, and there seems to be a hint of spruce. Tastes like it smells--very nice blend of flavors. The aftertaste sticks around too. Great beer.

Very dark beer, the head foamed 1/2 above the top of the glass. Slight bitterness at the end. Overall a good brew.

Pours deep mahogany with a thick, holding tan head. What an awesome aroma! Perfect... chocolate malts, coffee, roastiness, sweetness/bitterness, light smoke, a hint of dark fruit... nothing wrong in the aroma department. Excellent for the style (or for the "malted genre" in general). Mouth is a little thin and dry, but the flavors are damn solid. Comforting, bittersweet chocolate... with just a drop of alcohol to remove you from your safety-zone. I’ve GOT to get out to Denver again...

12 oz bottle pours black witha nice creamy tan head that settles back to about an 8th of an inch and laces very well. Aroma of roasted malts, some nut, chocolate, coffee. Flavor is very chocolatey.. Milk chocolate, roasted malts, a bit of nut, some caramel quite tasty. A nice bitter coffee finish makes this very tasty. This beer is quite full bodied for a porter. Very creamy and mouth coating and overall a very nice porter. I like this one and I’m glad I bought a six pack for tonight...

Bottle (12oz). Shared with blankboy, GregClow and tupalev - courtesy of me. Poured very dark brown with a red tinge and a small off-white head. Aroma of dark over-roast malt, lots of hops, grain, chocolate, peat, coffee and smoke - very dark and mysterious. Taste follows the nose, but even more bitter, very strong lingering espresso character. Mouthfeel is bitter, creamy and pretty full body for the type. Overall - hell, I loved it. Really surprised it rated out over 4, but it was very nice.

Comes out of the tap a nearly opaque reddish sable with a decent head. Rich aroma is smoky with nutty and cinnamon hints and an undertone of chocolate. Mouth-filling flavor is chocolaty and smoky; it has nutty, spicy and malt hints, as well as a touch of hop bitterness. Lively and smooth texture leaves a tingly, slightly sweet, mocha aftertaste.

Nice strong alcohol aroma with chocolate undertones. Dark color with tan robust head. Chocolate, roasted malts, and coffee flavor. Smooth and flavorful on the palate. Overall a real good porter.
