| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 17, 2009 Bottle. Pours near-black with a medium-brown head. Aroma of rich, bold coffee and dark chocolate. Flavor is a very well-balanced mix of coffee and cocoa. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 9, 2008 Bottle. Nose is sweet and slightly acidic chocolate and coffee. There’s something mildly fruity in there as well, sort of a cherry or raspberry aroma. Great looking brown head that laces nicely atop a nearly black bear with a light ruby tint. Good body, extremely smooth and robust. It carries across a well-rounded flavor profile touching on a chocolate acidity, some coffee roast and bitterness, and just a touch of citrus hops. Very well done. BeerFanDan17 (628), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA
