Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

on tap @ Brew Kettle, a nice deep dark brown, almost black with light coming through the edges. taste is spot on for porter, coffee, chocolate, roast, malt.. mouthfeel is rather light but easy to drink, not overpowering at all. good. not great.

Pours an almost black color and has a brown head. Aroma is like most porters. This one focuses on the chocolate and roasted dark malts. Flavor has some coffee and a lot of chocolate to it. It is a smooth porter and not offensive to even the most mild sensibility. Not a robust porter as a previous reviewer noted (my archetype of that porter style is smuttynose). Overall quite nice. Great Divide does not like to disappoint.

Bottle. Nearly black in color with a creamy, slightly off-white head. Rich aroma of roasted malts, coffee and bitter chocolate. with the hops lurking in the background. Nice, smooth creamy palate and flavor of those same malts and bitter chocolate plus a bit of hop bitterness for good measure. I enjoy a good porter and this is a very tasty example.

Bottle. Split with Pat. Pours deep brownish, black body. Aroma of coffee, brown sugar, barley, roasted malts, and nutmeg. Medium bodied for a porter. Rich, sweet finish. Decent.

Deep reddish brown with small brown head and small lacing. Light aroma is roasty with chocolate. Flavor is similarly roasty with nice malts, hops and chocolate notes.

Black color with quickly dissipating head. Nice roasted chocolate molasses and coffee aroma. Taste is similar with a little more coffee bitterness at the finish. Mid to thin body with soft mouthfeel.

Black with brown to garnet highlights. Smell of chocolate and coffee from the malts. Sweet like flavor in the taste just not quite robust. Still pretty good.

Bottle. Pours black with small tan head. Aroma of roasted malts and coffee. Flavor is coffee, roasted malts, and hints of chocolate. Flavor is not really robust, but it is well balanced. The mouthfeel is a little thin, almost watery but well carbonated and still pleasant. A solid porter, but not outstanding.
