Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

Pours a cloudy brown with a hint of amber on the edges. There was a small tight head with a small amount of lacing. There was a big coffee scent with some chocolate cake and malt. Excellent malty finish.

355 ml bottle. Dark brown reddish color, fine off-white/beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate and hops. Flavor is sweet roasted malt, chocolate and has fine bitterness. A bit thin for a strong porter, but nice.

on tap at the ginger man, poured a dark black in color with minimal head on the beer. aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, and some dark raisin and plumb. taste is deep and dark, plenty of full malt, dark somewhat biting roast and chocolate, but incredibly smooth. really went down so smooth, has some almost creaminess to it, dark fruits started to come out as it had a chance to warm, really liked this one.

Pours with a light brown, foamy head covering a black body. Some wavey lacing. Aroma of flower and mocha. Taste is a nice malty porter with some coffe and chocolate undertones. Somewhat creamy mouthfeel. Not a bad one.

bottle, pours dark brown with a tall brown head. Nice roasted malt and cocoa nose. Full roasted malt flavor with some coffee and bitter chocolate in the finish. I liked the drinkability and flavor of this.

Bottle, pours a clear brown body with ruby tones and a creamy, light brown head. Aroma of toasted malts with hints of cocoa, coffee, and vanilla. Flavor is a mix of coffee and chocolate malts finishing with a burnt malt taste. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel and light carbonation. Bottled Nov 25, 2008.

(bottle) Pours dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma is decent with roasted barley, dry cocoa, and slight coffee. Taste is strong of roasted barley with a big dose of coffee in the finish. Pretty thin mouthfeel.

Smoky, chocolately coffee-like flavor - a nice porter - very true to the style. Malty finish. If you like porters, it’s worth a try.
