The aroma is strong with hops with notes of grass, citrus, and pine. The taste is the same, with a great finish. This beer is very balanced and the perfect choice for spring. fallingleaves (15), Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 8, 2009 a clear copper-amber ale, poured with a profusion of carbonation resulting in light head with limited lacing. Aroma overwhelmingly of pine with a small citrus overtone. Strong body, tasting first hops, transforming into slight citrus taste, and then taken over by bitter return of hops. Enjoyable and recommended. evergreen0199 (290), London, Greater London, England
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 6, 2009 An amber coloured beer with a nice white head. Pine, citrus and slightly sweet, not too hoppy. Fresh tasting IPA that would be an ideal session beer if I could get this beer easily and at a sensible price. Jolly decent brew from Great Divide. yobdoog (1515), Woodridge NY, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 6, 2009 Basic and simple IPA. Not complex just a simple flavorful hop presence. Bitterness lingers a bit. BillKismet (1955), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 6, 2009 Luminescent amber, effervescent body feeding a flush head. Lots of floaties, perhaps hop residue. Well-rounded aroma of pine, fruity hops, bitter hops, and candi sugar. Mix of floral and fruity hops in the flavor, with strong undercurrent of bitterness, that has some metallic bitter-sourness to it. The flavors are rather discordant and never fully come together. sethdude (604), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 4, 2009 Pours orange with a medium head and light lacing. Aroma is sweet, citrus/pine with a caramel malt undertone. Flavor is unique. Big hops initiate, but there’s a nutty character that quickly catches up, and becomes almost chalky about 2/5ths of the way through, then resumes it’s nuttiness. The finish is a little too sweeet, but fades quickly. Decent. BeerNeedy (62), Anchorage, Alaska, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 4, 2009 12 oz bottle. Delightful mild aroma 0f pine and hops. Poured bright and clear copper with an excellent white head and nice lacing as you go. The flavor reminds me a bit of the hibernation ale only not so heavy. Great mouth feel and finish. I rated this once before and it wasn’t nearly as good with a lot of debris floating in it etc. This time around it is superb and is moving into the rotation.
