| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 31, 2009 Great Divide Titan IPA is a clear amber ale with slow-rising bubbles. It has a dense, bubbly, splotchy, yellowish head that leaves excellent lacing. The label says "BOTTLED ON: JAN 14 2005". It has a bold, hoppy aroma that’s all pine and citrus. It is medium, maybe medium-full, bodied. It feels smooth and syrupy in the mouth with a slightly sticky, slightly gritty finish. It’s quite bitter-- a little top-heavy with a lot of pine in the taste. It becomes sweeter toward the finish. It’s pretty leafy tasting and not fruity. It’s really hoppy, but not really stand-out. It’s a good IPA. robinvboyer (1444), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada

Aroma is very cascade hoppy with notes of tropical fruits. Flavor is right down hoppy and again with strong notes of tropical fruits and grapefruit. Very well balanced IPA, and not at all as overwhelming bitterness as most other beers from Great Divide. Changed (167), Ithaca, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 26, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours translucent orangey, little off-white head. Weak appearance for a 6.8% IPA. Lacing is nowhere to be found. Aroma is straightforward IPA- citrus. pine. Flavor is pretty straightforward too. Nothing too shocking here; a decent IPA, but nothing to distinguish itself from the crowd. eyesolus (64), Mill Creek, Washington, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 19, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Date-notched June 08. Jonesing for more sweet hop nectar after those X-IPAs at Flossmoor. I knew this wasn’t strong enough to fit the bill, but OK. Sweet malt smell overpowers a milder hop note, but that may be its age. Amber color, pretty bright, light layer of foam as found on most APAs. Taste finally brings in the hops, and yeah, some citrus and pine, but also some English hops too, methinks. But then the hops get sharper as I drink the beer, actually making for a dry finish after a sticky malt. Good stuff.
