The head is thick and which and very frothy looking. The overwhelming aroma is strong hops with hints of citrus and pine. The beer has a crisp hoppy flavor, but is still very easy to drink. It feels great in the mouth, has a satisfying flavor and aftertaste and goes down easy. This is a great beer for a hot day, but works well as an everyday drinking beer as well. It strikes a nice balance between a overhopped double IPA and your standard IPA that might be lacking a little in flavor. osu97gp (178), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 30, 2009 Bottle. Huge creamy ivory head, deep rusty orange color. Nose is mostly citrus hops. On the light to medium side of bitter for American IPA. Medium body, well carbonated. A little malt in the middle, ending citrusy, with a little floral smell going up the nose. Overall a decent to above average IPA, would drink this on tap but wouldn’t go out of my way to find it. soccer290 (138), Highland Park, Illinois, USA

Pours a dark-golden/amber color with a half finger width head that dissipates quickly. Smells of citrus and sweetness, with some hops. Tastes of citrus and hops, with a bite at the end, but feels smooth afterwards. Very good IPA overall flatmatt (230), Northville, Michigan, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 23, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours orange amber with some suspended particles and a fluffy off-white head. Semisweet aroma with some citrus hops and biscuity malts, a touch of caramel. Piney and citrus hops are a bit more assertive in the flavor, along with a biscuit malt backup. I think this bottle might be a little too old for optimal hoppiness, but as is it’s a pretty tasty beer. beerfest5 (200), Simsbury, Connecticut, USA

Citrus and caramel dominated aroma.
Citrus-pine flavour with medium sweet caramel again and a light fruitines. Good bitter finish.
