| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 14, 2009 Bottle from BierKoning. Golden body with choppy head. Hoppy and fruity nose with grapefruit, citrus and hops. A nice bite in the taste of hops and fruits (especially grapefruit) again. One of the better IPAs I’ve had. Capa (993), Yokosuka, Japan
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 11, 2009 Nice, clear copper with a firm white head. Clean hops, citrus, grapefruit, floral, and light pine, with a mellow malt background. Full bodied with little carbonation bite. The hops aren’t as intense as I was expecting in the flavor. Grapefruit, more citrus fruit, the competing malts really balance this IPA. Bitter finish. The hops are very noticeable, but it isn’t over the top. Very drinkable IPA that has both a bitter and smooth feeling. BeerGestapo (740), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 10, 2009 Brewed in the USA.....Pours a copper color with a very thin white head. Aroma of grapefruit, citrus, and some floral notes. Taste is of pineapples, piney hops and some cloves. The mouthfeel is well balanced, but finishes with a strong bitter bite. I don’t drink many IPAs but this is pretty good stuff. bunjes (2), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA does not count | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 9, 2009 Outstanding IPA, I think some people get carried away when making an IPA and miss out on the balance. For a beer that is quite hoppy, it has an uncanny balance from cleverly used malts. Depending on how vigor of the pour you will get a firm nearly white head and this will open up a pleasant nose. nbutler11 (769), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 8, 2009 Pours a warm copper color from the bottle with a creamy off-white head. Crazy with sediment, which is nice to see in an IPA. Smells and tastes of oranges, pineapple, cream, and grapefruity hops. Aggressive, yet well-balanced. j12601 (1327), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 7, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear orange gold with a hefty white head. Crisp clean citrus hops on the nose. Sweet pineapple flavor sits up at the beginning moving into a subtle sweet malt filling out a medium body. Long and slowly developing grapefruit finish which seems like it could be a lot bigger.
