Commercial Description:
Great Divide brews Titan IPA for hop disciples -- independent beer drinkers seeking out robust, flavorful beers characterized by their abundance of hops, flavor, aroma and bitterness. As a big aggressively-hopped India Pale Ale, Titan IPA fills this bill -- beginning with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishing with a rich, malty sweetness that is carefully balanced with crisp hop bitterness. 65 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Two fingers of creamy cream colored head with thin drapes of lacing that covers a dark orange coppery body with lots of sediment and floaties. Yeasty bready body with citrus floral hops. The body shows evidence of yeasty floaties in the smoothness then a nice powerful bouquet of hops is layered over the strong caramel malts.

Another malty IPA. I love these styles popping up everywhere. At first a nice hop bite then rolls into a medium but vibrant malt dance. This is a great IPA.

A solid IPA. Very nice pine/citrus hop combination, but the malt seemed at times to overwhelm the hops with a caramel sweetness. The sweetness was a little much for me, but in all other respects this is a good brew.

Poured a cloudy light amber with a nice head, there were some floaties in the beer as well. The aroma was malt and hops, it was nice but would like to smell a little more hoppiness with this. The flavor comes across mostly malty, then as the beer warms turns to complete bitterness. It’s almost like they gave it aroma and bitter hops but no flavor hops. I also did not enjoy the hop profile as much maybe due to the types of hops they used. Overall it seemed pretty unbalanced like you were either getting all hop or all malt but there was no in between. I’ve had much better IPA’s and didn’t quite enjoy this one as much.

On tap at the brewery. Light amber color. Easy to drink. Hint of caramelization. Delicious. Mild hoppiness.

Bottle from a trade with STFun. Poured a copper color with a huge head. The smell of hops ever present. Tasted of both pine and citrus hops. A little weak on the palate and unfortunaley doesn’t stand out from the many IPA’s available.
