Commercial Description:
Great Divide brews Titan IPA for hop disciples -- independent beer drinkers seeking out robust, flavorful beers characterized by their abundance of hops, flavor, aroma and bitterness. As a big aggressively-hopped India Pale Ale, Titan IPA fills this bill -- beginning with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishing with a rich, malty sweetness that is carefully balanced with crisp hop bitterness. 65 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

12 oz bottle from a 6 pack from Cardinal Liquors (Frankfort, IL). Poured a fiery orangish amber hue hazed with a nice offwhite head that laces very well. Aromas are largely floral and caramel malt, striking a fine balance. Some sweeter citrus notes waft in as well. Initial is very good, very bitter hop presence balanced by a very good caramel bicuity malt profile. Finishes bitter and with some remembrances of the wonderful malt. Very well balanced, not your typical grapefruit bomb. I really liked this IPA. On one of my higher IPA shelves. Cheers!

I thought the aroma was very bland without much hops presence. Pour was nice...amber in color with a small frothy head. Tast was a nice blend of malt and pine hops. Actually quite refreshing.

Malty aroma. Unpleasant inital malt flavour on front of palate with IPA bitterness. Cloying flavour. Disappointed. Maybe they send their bad brews to Australia. Will have to try again but will put at end of list.

12oz bottle (most of a six pack actually). copper pour with good sized white head and foamy lacing. smells of citrus and piney hops. taste is sharp hops, light tropical fruits - balanced nicely with bready malts. finishes up bitter, more bitter and spicey (ginger?). tingly medium palate. all around fantastic ipa. K-7

12oz bottle served in a Duvel tulip. Brilliant orange body with a bit of sediment floating around, topped by a creamy off-white head. Nose is citrus, caramel, and pineapple. Medium bitterness. Strong orange peel flavor as well as some pine. smooth and dry mouthfeel. Very good.

A clear copper-amber beer with a thick white head that lasts and leaves lace. Aroma is spicy hops with some caramel malt notes. The flavor is hop-dominated, but atop a decent malt base. Finishes fairly bitter. Not standing out, not falling behind.

[1341-20080511] 355mL bottle. Woodsy bitter lemon pip aroma. Clear, amber orange body with a medium-lasting creamy white head. Bitter heavy yeast and hops flavour has malty lemon pip notes. Medium body. Nice hoppy beverage.
