Commercial Description:
Great Divide brews Titan IPA for hop disciples -- independent beer drinkers seeking out robust, flavorful beers characterized by their abundance of hops, flavor, aroma and bitterness. As a big aggressively-hopped India Pale Ale, Titan IPA fills this bill -- beginning with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishing with a rich, malty sweetness that is carefully balanced with crisp hop bitterness. 65 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Bottle, has a very clear copper pour with hints of red at the edges, made a one to two finger off-white nice looking bubbly head that recedes to a ring and sparse cover, aromas of citrus, fruity hops, some hop herbal fragrances with caramel and toasted malt, some bread to, flavors of toasted malt, caramel, lemon and orange citrus, has a good hop bitterness at the finish, nice mouth feel, nice IPA.

Darker than I would have thought, Strong on hops for sure, just the right amount of malt to subdue overly bitter hop flavors. Certainly an agressive beer, but with burgers and grilling in the summer I can’t think of something I enjoy more than this IPA.

Bottle. Aroma of Caramel with a bit of spice and raisin, tropical fruit, some chocolate, and melon. Flavors of caramel malt, citrus, pine, and artificial-tasting fruits. Very smooth, but the sweet fruitiness is a bit too strange.

[9/10/08] Draught at Beer Temple in Amsterdam. Amber-copper color with a medium stable off-white head. Resinous hops aroma with cookie-ish malt, fruits and alcohol hints. Bitter hoppy flavor with resin, some pine, some sweetness and some fruits. Medium-bodied.

Orange pour with a nice white head, fantastic lacing. Malty hoppy aroma and flavor, thick mouthfeel and a somewhat sweet finish. I didn’t get any of the citrus hops notes that they talk about, maybe I got a less-than-perfect bottle.
