| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 25, 2008 Pours a cloudy copper. Aroma is rather hoppy and more citrus and less floral than I usually expect from an IPA. Flavor is rather bitter the whole way through with some notes of fruitiness to carry it along. This is a very unique IPA and I would suggest it to anyone who thinks they have the IPA style pinned down to a rather boring selection. msante79 (837), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours an amber colour with an off-white head. Aroma is all about the hops - tropical fruits, citrus, pine and a hint of caramel. Flavour is rather sweet and, of course, very hoppy. Very alike the aroma: tropical fruits, pineapple, pine and some resin with a hint of caramel. Yet another good beer from Great Divide. Snojerk321 (2003), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 18, 2008 12oz Bottle. Pours a nice clear amber with a frothy white head and excellent lacing. The aroma is a solid floral, pine and citrus. The palate is medium-bodied, slick, almost creamy, and rounds out with a nice bitter finish. The flavor is among the best IPAs that I’ve sampled to date. Nicely balanced, it’s a bit of a change from many that I’ve tried. It started bitter, swings to a malty sweetness and toggles back to a hop finish. The aftertaste is interesting. It left my tongue searching for a "home base" as it switched back and forth between sweet and bitter sensations. FatPhil (3484), Espoo, Finland

Rich hazy orange, small head. Quite hoppy aroma, but also lots of sweet malt. Pleasant carbonation, but quite sticky in the mouth. Taste follows the aroma - crisp sharp hops, but loads of zingy spices and bready light malts. Perhaps there’s ginger, but I can’t really identify the spices. A bit yeasty but on the whole well-balanced. Long hoppy and yeasty finish.
