| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 23, 2008 Very straightforward IPA, if not a little bigger and heavier than some others. Flowery hoppy aroma. Just straight up bitter hoppy flavor. Nothing surprising and hard not to like. bigtaster (184), Grand Rapids, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 22, 2008 Copper appearance, slight haze with a small but frothy white head. Aroma is hoppy, slight pine and strong citrus--almost fruity in the combination. Flavor is reverse, the citrus is mild and pine is strong, and finish is malty. Grassy aftertaste. Very good beer. mugabe (219), Sweden
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Feb 20, 2008 Bottle. Hazy purple, thin head. Flowery hops in the nose, along with some grass. Flavour is of hop and hay with a touch of sweetness. Really heavy finish - hops galore! Highly recommended. highlandlad (1278), Sydney, Australia
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 20, 2008 Superb US IPA. Creamy and puckeringly bitter. It’s a gorgeous-looking beer - marmalade cat, with a half-inch head that held the cratered imprint of the last few drips from the bottle. Superb head retention - a faultless-looking package. The aroma is a rich citric fruit salad with notes of lime cordial, lemon sorbet, peach melba and passionfruit. Medium-bodied with a thick creamy palate - yum. Lovely balanced flavours. Liquid bread and rough-cut marmalade leading into a zinging bitter finish. Very dry in the swallow. Bitter but very morish. Some warming alcohol is evident in the finish. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 17, 2008 12 oz. pours a run-of-the-mill IPA with a slightly cloudy body. Aroma is of standard grapefruit and pineapple with a bit of resin. The palate is nicely round and firm with just a good dose of abrasive "mouth-cleansing hop profile." I was happy to note this went well with some indian food, but certainly stands on its own. Overall, solid, but not setting itself apart from the pack. Petrucci914 (598), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 17, 2008 Pours a cloudy golden color with a medium white frothy head, leaving lots of lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, pineapple, and some floral characteristics. Taste is citrus, some piney biter hops, and a bit of nutty maltiness. A pretty nice and well-balanced IPA. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 16, 2008 Updated: Oct 2, 2008Warm honey color with very thick, dense long-lasting head. Scattered lacing. Fruity, leafy, herbal, characterful hop aroma. Soft, solid palate texture. Crisp, mouth-cleansing hop profile. Has some depth and integrity. Good stuff but there is nothing that necessarily sets it apart from other sturdy American IPAs. re-rate. Hazy light amber with rich, thick white head and lacing. Bright, cheerful cannabis buds, fresh hop blossom, and some apple overtones. Lots of fruit. Soft and solid mouthfeel. Complex array of hoppy flavors including citrus zest, evergreen, guava, and grapefruit juice. Remaining mellow and smooth. Excellent, sessionable, everyday-able beer. keepersj12 (815), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 16, 2008 Looks good, smells good, is good. Nice and bitter. Lots of hops in the smell and taste. Citrus, pine and a sweetness buried in there somewhere. My first from Great Divide is a winner.
