Commercial Description:
Great Divide brews Titan IPA for hop disciples -- independent beer drinkers seeking out robust, flavorful beers characterized by their abundance of hops, flavor, aroma and bitterness. As a big aggressively-hopped India Pale Ale, Titan IPA fills this bill -- beginning with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishing with a rich, malty sweetness that is carefully balanced with crisp hop bitterness. 65 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Bottled. Pours in hazy orange with a small off white head. The aroma is very hoppy and has strong notes of citrus, especially grapefruit. The flavor is big and hoppy with notes of medium sweet grapefruit up front and giving way to more pine and malty flavors. The finish is slightly bitter from the hops and the mouth feel is medium to light. A very nice big hoppy IPA. Another great one from Great Divide.

Poured a nice orange-amber hue with a decent white that had mild retention and lacing. Aroma was of citrus, mild pine and some soap like notes. Flavor was hops good rich hops, malt notes were barely noticeable . A nice crisp dry finish.

bottle produced 2’nd week of august poured a brassy amber in color with a thin head of thick white froth and a considerable amount of chunky sediment floating about. not sure what the stuff floating about is, looks like little bread pieces but there is sure a lot of it. aroma is nice with sweet fruit, peppery hops, peach, sweetness, and malt. mouth feel is medium with some creamy thickness and the larger floating debris can be felt on the tongue. flavor is full strength with hops a plenty, sweet fruit, candy sugar, some peppery bitterness, and a good dose of creamy malt. very rich in flavor and has more bitters than i would have thought moving to finish creamy with a bitter bite on the sides of the tongue. the alcohol at 6.8% is both noticeable and warming as it is drank. a nice beer but the appearance score has to be dialed back due to the bits that just don’t seem like they belong. perhaps the bits came off the lines in bottling they just don’t appear to be shredded hops and whatnot.

Pours hazy orange-pink color with small white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, some citrus and pine. Flavor has nice citrus to it, with notes of caramel and dried fruit. Nicely bitter with good malt balance. Palate is medium with a nice dry finish. A good IPA, but nothing too special.

Bottle. Bronze beer with a very strong smooth head. The aroma is very well hopped and dry, and the flavour is extremely hopped and very, very bitter at the finish. Overall a good and typical American beer, very dry.

This IPA is very enjoyable with a nice hazy amber colour and strong hop aroma. It’s very full of hop flavours, typical of American IPAs. Some more depth of character would improve it.

AROMA - This beer smells like a biscuit made of hops.
APPEARANCE - It poured a light orange color with a small head which dissipated quickly, leaving little lacing on the glass.
FLAVOR - The flavor consisted of lots of hops with a little malt in the background.
PALATE - Well carbonated with a nice hoppy finish.
OVERALL - This is a great tasting IPA and deserves another try. Satisfies my daily hop craving!
