Commercial Description:
Great Divide brews Titan IPA for hop disciples -- independent beer drinkers seeking out robust, flavorful beers characterized by their abundance of hops, flavor, aroma and bitterness. As a big aggressively-hopped India Pale Ale, Titan IPA fills this bill -- beginning with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishing with a rich, malty sweetness that is carefully balanced with crisp hop bitterness. 65 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Amber body with a bubbly white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is actually a bit sweet with citrus, malt, and flowers. Surprisingly smooth and easy to drink. Sweet entry with sugared grapefruit and caramel leads to a wonderfully bitter finish with grapefruit and pine. A very good IPA.

12 oz bottle. Great, interesting IPA. Strong bitter flavor with a nice mellow aftertaste--almost a paradox. Beautiful pale copper hue. Nice beer.

Cloudy amber colour, lots of particles in the liquid, small creamy beige head plenty of lacing. Aroma is full of hops, pine, grapefruit and also malt in the background. It has great divides unmistakeable signature smell. Flavour is hoppy with a very distinct bitterness and notes of grapefruit, lemon and pine. Mouthfeel is crisp with medium bubbles.

12 oz bottle-Pale amber color, nice head. Bitterness that lingers in the back of the throat. I’ve never had an ipa with a bitterness quite like this. It starts sweet then bang, an explosion of bitterness goes off in your mouth, the hop head in me loves this. I noticed that the description on this website puts the ABV at 6.8, but my bottle says 7.1, the brewers must have upped the alcohol. I’m not complaining.

Wonderfull sweet hopy aroma of citrus, grape and flowers. Amber with a small head. Flavor is bitter with citrus and caramel. Very fruity and round. Overall an amazing IPA that’s (like all IPA:s) is really reliant on beeing fresh. The first box I ordered was to old and taste awfull, this box is however less than a month old and taste super.

355ml Bottle - Amber with a white head. Hoppy aroma with grapefruit, pine and spicy malt. Hoppy taste with grapefruit, pine, caramel and spicy malt. Nicely balanced for a beer of this type.

355 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.8%. Deep golden colour, slightly hazy. Big white head. Lovely aroma of American hops, piney and citrussy notes, also hints of blackcurrants. The flavour is very bitter (too bitter) from the first sip, with piney and resinous notes. There is some malty and fruity sweetness, but not enough to balance the bitterness. The long aftertaste is chinine-like and very bitter.

12oz bottle marked second week of June 07. That would make this about two weeks old. Orange and clear with a rocky, fluffy, bubbly white head that looks like a sponge. The aroma is very hoppy and sticky. The bitterness works very well in this beer. The taste is sticky, hoppy and kind of chewy. They very expertly hid the slightly higher than usual ABV and I like this one a lot. Great Divide does a very good job again (no surprise).
