Subtle hoppy, piney nose with notes of spice and orange peel. Piney, minty hop flavors...somewhat flat hop characteristics...stale so to speak...balanced I suppose but nothing is tasting too fresh here...there’s some fruitiness and dried mint character thoug, but its not all that enticing. Nice golden colour with a lasting head. Flavour was quite good, extremely balanced. Lots of hop flavour but not as bitter as might be expected. Well balanced malt gives a soft finish. The carbonation in this beer could only be described as "fun." A good experience. ruskiimperial (76), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 13, 2009 A nice orange hazy hue gives this beer a nice appearance. The aroma is a bit piney, but not as prevalent as some other ipas. The taste up front has a tangy and piney bitterness, but it leaves the palate with a few hints of sweetness. A very well rounded and balanced ipa. OzarkElmo (134), Poplar Bluff, Missouri, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 9, 2009 Updated: Oct 19, 2009From Bottle August 8,2009. Pours hazy amber/orange with powerful aroma of citrus, pine. A bit more dry and bitter than most of the IPAs I’ve had this past year, but there is definitely a great malt presence throughout, more than the average IPA out there. to me this makes is a more well-balanced brew, and a very good one at that. Overall quite enjoyable in a warm summer evening on Kentucky Lake - Cheers
Update: Enjoyed a few out of a more proper serving glass (tulip) and I must say it was even more flavorful, just a really, really good IPA. RPillsbury (112), Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England

Apricot and pine aroma with some hay coming through. The flavours are earthy with some pine and soft fruits. There’s definitely a sharp finish though quite well-rounded. Very good. nickd717 (1389), Palo Alto, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 6, 2009 Bottle from Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in DC. Orangish-amber color with a creamy white head. Aroma is not as strong as I’d expect from the style, but good, with piney/citrusy hops and a little malt. Flavor is caramel malt, pale malt, apple, citrus, and pine, with bitterness lasting on the finish. Average palate for the style, maybe a little fuller as you’d expect from the ABV. Good but not great IPA. Geokkjer (256), Kristiansand, Norway
