Overall: Reminds me of many other IPAs, but a high quality example with an exemplar in the visual area. I’d have it again in a minute. It seems like a regular go-to pick. Very well crafted. 18 out of 20.
CaryTheDude (172), Ripon, Wisconsin, USA Aug 29, 2008 Wow, I think Two Hearted ruined my IPA experience. Unfortunately this one completely pales in comparison. Nothing interesting about it. Just mellow with some hop character. A generic IPA. Bummer. kassner (138), Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 28, 2008 On tap at Magoo’s Dark Coudy Brown IPA with huge bitter hops and just enough initial malt. Nice head and great lacing, but its all about the bitterness, still it doesn’t linger and it is a clean finish. HenrikSoegaard (3003), Randers, Denmark Aug 28, 2008 Draught at Cockney Pub Århus. Frothy white good mosty lasting head. Orange colour. Light malty heavy hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Harsh powerfull bitter long unpleasent finish. Oily palate. Totally out of balance. jjuf1853 (199), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Aug 27, 2008 Bottle pours a clear golden copper color with a thin white head. Nice piney hop aroma. Very good citrus hop flavor with a bitter finish. Although hops dominate the flavor the malt does come through a bit as well. I really enjoyed this one. blutt59 (653), Dallas, Texas, USA Aug 27, 2008 bottle, nice orange copper color, head is medium, flavor is very malty and bitter, hops are not as much of a player, finish is bitter also
