Commercial Description:
Great Divide's mantra is that real fruit makes real beer, so Great Divide ferments Wild Raspberry Ale with hundreds of pounds of real red and black raspberries. Wild Raspberry Ale is a truly effervescent, ruby red ale that achieves the almost impossible balance between malted barley and tart raspberry fruitiness. Its naturally tart character makes Wild Raspberry the ultimate accompaniment to spicy Mexican food or on its own as a stand-alone session beer.

Pours the color of raspberry tea, as mostly pink tinted foam into the glass. Head lasts 5 minutes, gradually settling down a little at a time. Smells like strictly raspberries, like raw fruit, but not sugary. Taste is of weak malt, and creamy raspberry. Really pretty damn tasty. Creamy mouthfeel, good flavor that is not overly sweet, or bland. It’s well balanced. This has to be one of my favorite fruit beers. Body is medium, not light. This is an ale afterall. Finish is weakly spritzy, and clean.

Amber in color, with a deep red hue......pillowy white head, though it fades a little fast. Heavy raspberry aroma. Sweet taste of raspberries up front......slightly crisp mouthfeel. Somewhat of a malt back, with a tart raspberry aftertaste.

Pours a ruby red color with a small white head. Very little aroma. Flavor is very light berry with some tartness on the back end. Thin palate. Overall nothing to write home about but something I wouldn’t mind drinking if it was available.

Pours a clear red amber color. A small light tan head with a slight pinkish tint. The nose is all bittersweet raspberries. There is even a little bit of chocolate. The flavor is like a chocolate raspberry cake or a raspberry truffle soaked in beer. One of the better fruit beers I’ve had. A light carbonation and medium body. Pretty decent.

Rather raspberry all around. However, like many other raspberry beers the sour/sweetness seems to distract a bit from the natural wheat. However, this is something that is rather enjoyable and highly drinkable, so I do have to give it credit for that.

From a 12 oz bottle... smells like soap. Looks good. Tastes like soapy water, and kool-aide. I couldn’t get into it.

Clear red with large white head. Sweet aroma with raspberry notes. Sweet flavor with raspberry and cardboard notes.
