Commercial Description:
Great Divide's mantra is that real fruit makes real beer, so Great Divide ferments Wild Raspberry Ale with hundreds of pounds of real red and black raspberries. Wild Raspberry Ale is a truly effervescent, ruby red ale that achieves the almost impossible balance between malted barley and tart raspberry fruitiness. Its naturally tart character makes Wild Raspberry the ultimate accompaniment to spicy Mexican food or on its own as a stand-alone session beer.

bottle poured a red amber in color with a one finger head of light tan foam and slow carbination. aroma has raspberry preserves, malt, and sweet and sour. mouth feel is thinner but thirst quenching with mid range carbination. flavor has plenty of berry but it is very fresh and seedy and not an artificial flavor or smell. contains plenty of malt that does cut down on the sweetness and gives this something other than the main attraction of berries to focus on. good to have one of and glad i tried it.

Bottle. Pours in nice amber with a medium off-white head. The aroma is faintly sweet with notes of raspberry and slightly malty. The flavor is more of the same. Raspberry dominates a malty backbone that is different but nice. Very carbonated which works in this case. The finish is dry and slightly bitter from hops. The mouth feel is light. This was a nice change up, not my cup of tea but another well made beer from Great Divide.

Poured great you can really taste the raspberry flavor, could possibly be one of the better fruit beers I have tasted. Nice color when poured.

Pours light scarlet red. Smell like fruit candy! Light colorful fruit aroma. A lot of raspberry and tangerine. Light citrus fallowed by a strong fruit flavor some grain. Not overwhelming like most fruit beers. A little water but good solid palate. Very awesome beer. I’d do it again and again.

On tap at the Hop Devil Grill. Pours with a big head but strangely the isnt much aroma. The flavor is like a respbsrry lifesaver-lite. There’s really nothing to like or dislike about this beer. Uninspiring but well made.

Bottle. Pours red amber with an off white, almost pink head. Fruity nose, heavy on raspberry, and maybe a hint of wheat. Thin/medium body with notes of raspberry. Dry and tart finish. Not an awful beer... it’s drinkable, but not what I expected from Great Divide.

22 oz bottle pours with a deep golden golden color. Little to no hop or malt aroma, but a light berry aroma. The head was nice and fluffy and had a hint of red in its color. Wheat malt flavor with a small amount of bitterness. Berry flavor was nicely balanced with the beer flavor. Good summer beer.

Very light beer. Lace on the glass and light carbonation. Slightly sour without any sweetness I was hoping for.
