Commercial Description:
Great Divide's mantra is that real fruit makes real beer, so Great Divide ferments Wild Raspberry Ale with hundreds of pounds of real red and black raspberries. Wild Raspberry Ale is a truly effervescent, ruby red ale that achieves the almost impossible balance between malted barley and tart raspberry fruitiness. Its naturally tart character makes Wild Raspberry the ultimate accompaniment to spicy Mexican food or on its own as a stand-alone session beer.

Bottle. Hazy, glowing red orange colour with a creamy tan head and some sediment. Quite sweet raspberry aromas, smells a bit like bubblegum. Interesting blend of very sweet raspberry flavours and spicy rye bread maltiness. Quite fizzy. Not bad.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy red with a cripsy light brown head. Very raspberry fruity aroma, smells like very sweet sodapop. Flavour has raspberry but quite dry. Ends dry as well but with a bit more fruit.

Great fruit beer. Simple, and fruity enough without tasting sugary. No artificial flavoring flavour. The type of beer you could pound through 6 of in a matter of minutes. Pretty good.

Bottle. Pours a bit hazy red-brownish colour with a fizzy short lasting white head leaving a good lacing. Pleasant sweet fruity raspberry aroma. The flavour is sweet and fruity with raspberries. Wel lasting fruity finish.

Bottle [thank you, thewolf, shared @ Plan B] Large reddish / beige fizzy head that lasted. Good display of lacework. Cloudy reddish color. Aroma was quit complex with raspberry and mix fruit as the baring notes. Over the palate some citrus, caramel. Medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Moderated sweet flavor with some acidic. Full raspberry and light alcoholic finish. I like this one!

Bottle, bought @ Barley Wine, Cph. Pours lightly pinkish red with a fine lightly off white head. Aroma is heavy of moderately sweet raspberries. Mouthfeel is airy – almost foamy in my mouth, making it rather hard to actually taste any subtleties. Flavour is mildly fruity, the raspberries peeping clearly through, but not much else. An acceptable fruit beer, but nothing more.

From bottle : Pours a semi dark brown with red highlights, small white fizzy head. Very nice aroma of fruit, mainly rasberries...big surprise. Very light on the palate, and nothing after it is swallowed, its there then it is gone, with no trace that you even drank anything. Leaves a taste in your mouth like you just finished a fruit roll up. Not bad for a fruit beer.

Great Divide’s Wild Raspberry Ale (bottle) smelled good, looked pretty, but the taste...not so good. It was a nice deep red-brown with a substantial tan-white head and smelled strongly of raspberry (of course). The taste was only a little sweeter and a little more tart than a regular ol’ beer, and it seemed overly bitter. Wild Raspberry wasn’t necessarily terrible, but, if I’m in the mood for raspberry, I’ll obviously go for a lambic.
