Commercial Description:
Great Divide's mantra is that real fruit makes real beer, so Great Divide ferments Wild Raspberry Ale with hundreds of pounds of real red and black raspberries. Wild Raspberry Ale is a truly effervescent, ruby red ale that achieves the almost impossible balance between malted barley and tart raspberry fruitiness. Its naturally tart character makes Wild Raspberry the ultimate accompaniment to spicy Mexican food or on its own as a stand-alone session beer.

Bottle. Tart aroma of black raspberries. Clear red body with little head. Sweet, lightly carbonated taste of rasberry, slightly bitter, subordinated to a hefty dose of malt. Medium body, faintly bitter aftertaste. A little stale. Simple, non-artificial tasting (for once) fruit beer, but really, what’s the point?

I thought this was a decent effort by Greast Divide. It pours brown red and offers over toned notes pof raspberries on the nose. The fruit on the mouth is somewhat sweeter than I like but the hops and bitterness actually work out well and blend nicely.

Hazy light brown look with fruity aroma of raspberries and malt. The flavor is similar, but with some metalfruit taste dominating. Mediumhoppy and very drinkable in the summerheat. Short aftertaste and fast forgotten!

Brownish red in color, aroma is very faintly fruity, when beer touches the lips the raspberry flavor profile completes itself. Subtle fruitiness (for a fruit beer) Base ale does a good job of not getting in the way. Much better than many fruitbeers I’ve had, but no where near Lambic class.

12oz bottle via trade with Axllives. I’m a sucker for good fruit beer so I needed to try this. Pours rosy amber with a two finger pinkish white head. Aroma is full of berries but not very crisp. The taste is sweet and taste like raspberries, but it doesn’t taste like beer it tastes sort of wrong. Compared to many other raspberry fruit beers this stinks.

Bottle. Poured amber/reddish with a medium head. Aroma is, of course, berries. Taste, however, was much flatter than I expected. Sweet, thin flavor of raspberry. Nice beer for a hot day.

Pours a strawberry color with a big frothy head. Aroma is very carbonated with sweet raspberries. Flavor is malts, raspberries, and hops. A bit thin but a good summer beer overall
