Commercial Description:
Great Divide's mantra is that real fruit makes real beer, so Great Divide ferments Wild Raspberry Ale with hundreds of pounds of real red and black raspberries. Wild Raspberry Ale is a truly effervescent, ruby red ale that achieves the almost impossible balance between malted barley and tart raspberry fruitiness. Its naturally tart character makes Wild Raspberry the ultimate accompaniment to spicy Mexican food or on its own as a stand-alone session beer.

Aroma of raspberry and pretty much nothing else. Nice, without a doubt, though lacking in complexity for sure. Taste was raspberry with a bit more malt and niceness, fairly well balanced, not too bad. Pretty nice, overall.

12oz bottle - Pours pinkish amber iwth a short pink head. Aroma is light raspberries and light malts. Flavor is yeast, tart red raspberries. A smooth palate that this light and airy and is a refreshing drink. Not bad for a fruit beer but not something I could drink alot. My wife enjoyed the rest of the glass though.

Bottle. Pours ruby with a small white head that diminishes to a bubbly edgy film. Raspberry malt (grain, straw) and sour yeast (sweat) aroma. Sour malt, yeast flavor, full of raspberries. Medium bodied and fizzy, spicy refreshing palate.

12oz. bottle. Mild, fruity aroma, full of raspberry, with some sweet-tart interplay and lurking malt. Clear red color with a lightly pink, fine head. Flavor is sweet and malty up front, some very slight bready caramel tones, the middle quite fruity and juicy with, again, copious raspberry, and with a light-moderately tart finish. Effervescence and palate are kept on the light side, with a light body to match. Really works well as a thirst-quencher but not something I would consume regularly; my tastes run towards other ends of the various spectrums these days.

pours a purple color with a small pinkish head.. Aroma is of raspberries with a little malt. Flavor is a dry raspberry character with some maltiness.. Not much depth on this one.. Light mouthfeel with good carbonation.

While the shade hesitates between pink and purple, a smallish white head takes formation. Faintly malty nose justifies its existence through juicy raspberries, also hinting at figs, blackberries, but the global result is certainly not very complex. Palate is thin, rather watery and the carbonation is engaging, but the overall experience, quickly forgotten

Pours dark red with a quite inpressive white head. Clear raspberry aroma, with a little maltyness in the background. Fruity, almondy raspberry flavour. Quite refreshing. Nothing special really.

Rated @ Stockholm beer festival. Hazy red-brown with pink head. Obviously dominated by raspberry although they taste dried and hayish. Sweet and not very interesting.
