Commercial Description:
Great Divide's mantra is that real fruit makes real beer, so Great Divide ferments Wild Raspberry Ale with hundreds of pounds of real red and black raspberries. Wild Raspberry Ale is a truly effervescent, ruby red ale that achieves the almost impossible balance between malted barley and tart raspberry fruitiness. Its naturally tart character makes Wild Raspberry the ultimate accompaniment to spicy Mexican food or on its own as a stand-alone session beer.

Dark, cloudy reddish copper pour with thin, white head and small-bubble carbonation. Fruity aroma of berries and malts, but not overpowering. The flavor is definitely raspberries with a malt overlayer. Nicely fizzy, though a bit watery.

Sourish nose, with strong notes of artificial raspberries. Reddish body with a small white head. Weak flavored, some berries and light malt underneath.

Bottled: Reddish orange coloured. Hazy. Beige head. Malts, fruits (light raspberry) in the aroma. Flavour is sweet and malty with a light note of berries. Ends on a raspberry note. Thin and watery.

Big raspberry aroma. Flavor was much the same with some nice maltiness to it. It was extremely easy drinking.

Cloudy red body with a small head. Huge raspberry aroma and flavor. Hard to say much more about it other than that it’s a raspberry flavored ale, but it was enjoyable. Not overpowering like some lambics - easy drinking.

Poured a ruby amber color with a thin off-white head. Big raspberry aroma. Malty flavor with light raspberry. Semi-dry finish. Lighter body and fruit than I expected.

One of my B-day beers my wife got me from BOTW. Very little head with this one. Very powerful aroma of berries. Strong berry flavoring in the wheatbeer was enjoyable. A great fruit beer.

Bottle shared with blankboy, HogTownHarry, jerc and gregclow - courtesy of jerc. Dark red, small white head. Slightly tart aroma. Watery bland taste of some fruitiness, but surprisingly on the artificial side. As Greg mentioned, kind of KLB’ish. I expected much much more from this, maybe approaching new glarus levels given my Great Divide experiences so far. Oh well, stick with the Yeti I guess!
