Commercial Description:
Great Divide's mantra is that real fruit makes real beer, so Great Divide ferments Wild Raspberry Ale with hundreds of pounds of real red and black raspberries. Wild Raspberry Ale is a truly effervescent, ruby red ale that achieves the almost impossible balance between malted barley and tart raspberry fruitiness. Its naturally tart character makes Wild Raspberry the ultimate accompaniment to spicy Mexican food or on its own as a stand-alone session beer.

Bottle poured a reddish purple with a lavender head. Aroma was raspberry with a hint of bread. Palate was light. Flavors of raspbery with bread.

In the bottle. This is simply outrageous. Way too much raspberry. Pours a purple amber with a pink head. The head lasts for a nanosecond. The aroma is like a bowl of raspberry Jello. Flavor is likewise, with a strong sweetness. Palate is harsh. very strong fizziness and big carbonation. The redemming quality is that there is no horrible burnt seed-like aftertaste found in many fruit beers. I got little or no tartness from this. If this is your session beer, please seek professional help immediately.

Pours a medium, pinker side of amber color with a thick white head. Sweet rasberry nose. A nice lighter malt flavor ale with a somewhat subtle rasberry flavor. Very clean finish, like champagne. Not a bad fruit brew.

Pours a deep amber with a nice creamy lasting off white head that leaves some lacing in my glass. Clean raspberry fruit aromas, mellow malt and raspberry flavors, well balanced and not overdone with fruit. Medium bodied with a crisp and light mouthfeel, finishes clean. A tasty and refreshing fruit ale.

Not an overwhelming raspberry aroma, short head and kool aid color. Had more of an alcohol flavor than a fruit flavor.

Much ti my complete and utter amazement this smelled like raspberries. Kinda smelled like a soda version of a framboise. Light transparent amber/red color. Watery and flavorless except for a little (again you are gonna think I’m crazy) raspberry sweetness.

Looks appetizing, with its pale lavender head over a reddish-purple (blood-colored) body. The aroma is similar to a blue icee from kmart - ie, artificial wild rastberry flavor - but its pleasant and nostalgic. The flavor however, doesn’t follow through. It’s very thin and watery. The beer is much more like flavored water. It wants to be a good fruit beer, but it can’t quite make it. The finish is very dry and unpalatable.

Bottle. Bottled the 1st week in March I think. A deep raspberry red pour with an average-sized effervescent pale pink/tan head that dissipates quickly. Light, airy aroma of raspberries and SweeTarts with hints of wheatiness. Not nearly as flavorful as I would’ve guessed based on aroma and appearance. A light wheaty base with notes of tart and sour raspberries throughout. Refreshing and not really thin. The kind of subtly-flavored fruit beer that you could drink all night and not get turned off to.
