Commercial Description:
Great Divide's mantra is that real fruit makes real beer, so Great Divide ferments Wild Raspberry Ale with hundreds of pounds of real red and black raspberries. Wild Raspberry Ale is a truly effervescent, ruby red ale that achieves the almost impossible balance between malted barley and tart raspberry fruitiness. Its naturally tart character makes Wild Raspberry the ultimate accompaniment to spicy Mexican food or on its own as a stand-alone session beer.

Pours a deep amber with a nice creamy lasting off white head that leaves some lacing in my glass. Clean raspberry fruit aromas, mellow malt and raspberry flavors, well balanced and not overdone with fruit. Medium bodied with a crisp and light mouthfeel, finishes clean. A tasty and refreshing fruit ale.

Great scents of raspberry. This beer strikes a nice balance between malty flavors and raspberry fruit flavors. Nothing too special, but still an ok fruit beer.

12-oz bottle. Beautiful red amber pour. Thin pinkish head that dissipated rapidly. Good raspberry aroma. High carbonation. Fizzy and thin mouthfeel. Sour cherry with a touch of bitterness. Clean finish with just a hint of appleseed bitterness. Very refreshing. More of a summer patio beer, IMHO.

bottle, pours dark purple with a medium white head. Fresh raspberry and pale malt aroma. Light pale malt and a nice fresh raspberry and corriander in the finish. Kindof like a wit and fruit beer combined. It’s alright.

(bottle - 12 oz) Clear red pour with a fizzy white head. Aroma is malty and slightly fruity. Couldn’t really smell any raspberries. Mainly sweet malts. Flavor begins with a very odd raspberry flavor that seems to be battling for prominence against the malt backbone that quickly takes over. A sour and tart raspberry flavor comes through quickly at the end before being replaced by a sour and bitter metallic finish.

Nice color. Dark brown with reddish tint. The raspberry is present but not overpowering, like say a pumpkin beer. Overall a nice refreshing brew

Bottle 12fl.oz. @ home.
Clear sparkling, medium amber red color with a huge, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate raspberry, sweet raspberry, strawberry. Flavor is moderate to heavy old berry sweet and moderate wood bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090830]

From Total Wine Nice Raspberry aroma, but not a strong raspberry flavor like a Purple Haze. A solid beer, easy to drink but not amazing.

12oz bottle. Pours amber with a slight head. The aroma of berries is stronger than the taste though, for me, the berry taste takes away from what is probably a an OK ale.
