coldbrewky (716), Saugerties, New York, USA Jun 20, 2009 Bomber...wel bomblet (650ml) from the local Hannaford’s market. Not to shabby for $3.99. Dark and black with a one inch tall thick dens head. Yeah this fits the mold quite well. Body begins in the expected large and bold fashion and takes an un expected turn when the bitternes comes chiefly from burnt black patent crispiness. only in the finish can I dicern the mellow steady hoppiness from the choco-patent mountain. A sneaky critter that blends into the surroundings and then hits you with a rock.. in other words the alcohol snuck up o my ass and settled me comfortably in my chair. direwolf9 (29), Dallas, Texas, USA Jun 16, 2009 You could fill a pen up with this stuff and literally write with it. Almost pure black and very thick. Guiness only wishes they could make a stout this good. Great beer. I bought a case of 22 oz bottles and I’m a trappist quad drinker. terrybail (331), London, Ontario, Canada Jun 15, 2009 22oz Bottle from Ryans Party Store in Port Huron

Roated malts, bitterness, chocolate. Taste is the aroma times 10. Roasted malt, coffee, sweetness, light bitter finish. Creamy mouthfeel. Damn good. This beer is worth moving to Denver. Great lacing. Flavor gets better as it warms. Can’t wait to try the oak aged yeti- it is chilling as I type.. Thick mouthfeel. The beer clings to the side of the glass. Cybercat (778), Georgia, USA Jun 13, 2009 Aroma of this beer is pure delight - thick and oily, strongly of fine coffee with hints of molasses, miso and unsweetened chocolate. It pours a deep, rich, warm, opaque sable with a very thick and fairly persistent tan head. Flavor does not disappoint - it is strongly chocolaty with coffee and malty tones and hints of toffee plus a bit of a hoppy bitter bite. Texture is thick and smooth, and fairly tingly so you know that you’re drinking a fine beer. Almost perfection, this one! ksurkin (355), Norfolk, Virginia, USA Jun 13, 2009 Updated: Jul 23, 2009bomber from grape & gourmet. pours an oily, thick black with a nice, half-inch dark tan head with a ring of lace. aroma is very nice with big, roasted nutty malts, chocolate, sweet toffee, and a big, earthy hop presence and maybe a touch of mango and cherry. flavor is delicious as well huge, slightly sweet, roasted malts and chocolate up front, followed by notes of toasted almond, coffee, molasses, and bourbon with a slightly spicy, bitter, herbal hop finish. palate is full bodied and velvety smooth with low carbonation. overall, an excellent imperial stout, but not quite epic. shawnm213 (884), South Bend, Indiana, USA Jun 12, 2009 pours a deep brown with a nice tan head. notes of bourbon, mocha, bitter chocolate. grainy, mouthfeel. full bodied. a nice beer. would be good with some waffles hoppopotamus (182), Santa Cruz, California, USA Jun 10, 2009 Pours a jet black with a delicious looking dark tan head that leaves lace. Aroma is amazingly roasty, with notes of coffee and sweeter malt as well. Flavor is quite bitter to begin with, there’s clearly a lot of hops in here. However as it warms you get much more of a molasses/toffee sweetness and of course lots of roast/burnt notes. Mouthfeel is just chewy as hell, it drinks like syrup. Finishes with a bitter burnt astringency, like burnt toast.
