Commercial Description:
Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti's hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Motor oil black por with a mocha brown head. Roated malts, bitterness, chocolate. Taste is the aroma times 10. Roasted malt, coffee, sweetness, light bitter finish. Creamy mouthfeel. Damn good. This beer is worth moving to Denver. Great lacing. Flavor gets better as it warms. Can’t wait to try the oak aged yeti- it is chilling as I type.. Thick mouthfeel. The beer clings to the side of the glass.

Aroma of this beer is pure delight - thick and oily, strongly of fine coffee with hints of molasses, miso and unsweetened chocolate. It pours a deep, rich, warm, opaque sable with a very thick and fairly persistent tan head. Flavor does not disappoint - it is strongly chocolaty with coffee and malty tones and hints of toffee plus a bit of a hoppy bitter bite. Texture is thick and smooth, and fairly tingly so you know that you’re drinking a fine beer. Almost perfection, this one!

bomber from grape & gourmet. pours an oily, thick black with a nice, half-inch dark tan head with a ring of lace. aroma is very nice with big, roasted nutty malts, chocolate, sweet toffee, and a big, earthy hop presence and maybe a touch of mango and cherry. flavor is delicious as well huge, slightly sweet, roasted malts and chocolate up front, followed by notes of toasted almond, coffee, molasses, and bourbon with a slightly spicy, bitter, herbal hop finish. palate is full bodied and velvety smooth with low carbonation. overall, an excellent imperial stout, but not quite epic.

Pours a jet black with a delicious looking dark tan head that leaves lace. Aroma is amazingly roasty, with notes of coffee and sweeter malt as well. Flavor is quite bitter to begin with, there’s clearly a lot of hops in here. However as it warms you get much more of a molasses/toffee sweetness and of course lots of roast/burnt notes. Mouthfeel is just chewy as hell, it drinks like syrup. Finishes with a bitter burnt astringency, like burnt toast.

Dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, roasted malts. Taste of chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, mild sweet malt. Finishes up with some roasted malt bitterness. Pretty good imp stout.

I had this beer with BeerBaron617 today. It’s the last of our road trip beers. I must say that though I am not giving it the highest rating, it is still a pretty good beer. I am not the hugest fan of Imperial Stouts, however I do respect them for their flavors and craft. This beer poured thick in the glass an opaque black brown. It had a toffee colored head that was quite nice. Aroma on this one is really good - its caramelly sweet and definitely has molasses and toffee notes in it as well. Taste is a bit strong. The combination of 75 IBU’s and the fact that it’s an Imperial, make it a bit much for me. It is tasty - sweet, with a bit of a bitter aftertaste, yet its just too much for me.
