jumpjet2k (135), Austin, Texas, USA May 23, 2009 Bottle. Lovely inky black color with a nice chocolaty brown head that sticks around for quite a while. Tons of chocolate and coffee along with some grain in the aroma. The chocolate and coffee flavors transform into rich toffee maltiness, finished by a pleasant bit of hops in a chocolate-covered orange sort of way. Viscous and thick, rolls very pleasantly across the tongue. ChrisThomson (375), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 18, 2009 Updated: May 19, 2009Pours black as night with big brown head. Has a very thick and creamy mouthfeel. Is big on roasty malts with dark chocolate, well balanced by sweetness. Love this beer, look forward to trying the oak-aged version. ljstephenson (111), Lawton, Oklahoma, USA May 17, 2009 Deep black pour with a large brown head, aroma is strong coffee and chocolate, flavor is strong with coffee and chocolate again, with roasted malt and very sweet, finishes very sweet, almost borders too sweet, but enjoyable. OD40oz (600), Box Elder, South Dakota, USA May 17, 2009 Pours black as old motor oil with a nice brown head. Had the aroma of roasted malt and cherries. Creamy and silky smooth brew with nice lacing. Great finish. This beer is definitely boneriffic!! djd07 (721), Houston, Texas, USA May 17, 2009 Bottle as shown. Pours a very dark brown with a small frothy tan head that dimishes rather quickly. The aroma is a roasted malt with chocolate caramel and cherry. Decent spotty lacing along the glass. Thin mouthfeel with a rich roasted malt with oak and smoke flavors. Decently hides the alcohol with a nice bitter finish. A very good imperial stout from great divide. deyholla (504), Bloomington, Indiana, USA May 7, 2009 Bottle.
