Commercial Description:
Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti's hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Welll, when you’ve had the Oak Aged Yeti, this is a bit of a come down. But honestly, this is a world class stout. It has the full body, maltiness, chocolate and coffee notes, and other characteristics that one expects in a stout. But the hop profile is different: this beer is actually more hopped than most IPAs. And it works. The hops don’t overpower on the tongue, nor do they linger on the finish. They are well blended in what is an astounding beer.

Bottle, had this at a tasting last night and it blew me away but did not finish that well overall with the rest of the tasters and I have to disagree! Nice dark body and creamy head. Aroma of Roasted nuts and Chocolate and coffee and malt goodness! It has some hops in the taste but it didn’t turn me off and I don’t like a ton of hops. Very smooth for an imperial stout. very think all around in taste and palate. this is not one to be downed quickly and good luck drinking more than one. Drink this if you want a nice stout to snack on.

Dark, with dark creamy head, great balance, lots of chocolate and coffee overtones, helped to balance the hops. Good.

Bottle from Bottle Trek in Eugene, OR. Poured a dark brown almost black. Could definatley taste the hops which gave it a bitter finish. Chocolate and coffee were the primary flavors. All in all a very good beer.

Bottle shipped from Oregon. This brew poured a deep brown/black with good-sized head. The aroma was of coffee and chocolate, and the flavor was consistent. This one had a hint of hops at the end, which kept the palate score from perfect. It’s a little thinner in flavor and palate than Alesmith Speedway, but still very good.

The beer pours a deep black with a thick brown creamy head that has great lacing. The nose is a mix of roasted malts, bitter sweet chocolate and coffee. The taste is a deep rich mix of roasted malts, burnt sugar, bitter chocolate and dark fruit. The mouth feel is a lot of carbonation on the tip of the tongue and a watery mouth feel in the middle, The finish is a light bitterness that is medium lasting. Goes great we smoked cheddar.

Bottle, pours a black body with two-finger dark brown head. Aroma of molasses, cocoa, and toffee with hints of floral hop and coffee. Solid, smooth mouthfeel, although not as viscous as some of the top imperial stouts. Flavor of roasted/burnt malts, cocoa and coffee. Finishes with a coffee and hop bitterness.

Quite stunningly hoppy, liqorice, milk chocolate lashings of cream, roasted malt, how much can they pack into this thing eh? This also rates very highly on the hop back burp ’o’ meter thats when you realise just how many hops thay pack in, its wonderful cheers Ian for your generosity.
