Commercial Description:
Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti's hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Huge chocolate smells..bitter roasted malty sweet flavour. slightly oily palete but full bodied. Very nice...I actually prefer this one to the oak aged Yeti.

Very black with a brown head. The beer has a strong aroma. The flavor is a dark chocolate / roasted coffee mix. Full-bodied.

The Pour is a deep brown to almost black with an ample tan head. The nose is a well balanced mix of maple sugar, molasses, bitter dark chocolate and malt. The flavor is heavenly and follows that of the nose, making this a perfectly balanced imperial stout, and a good measuring stick for any other in its class to live up to.

Bottle: Pours a black color with a huge tan head. Nice molasses type aroma. Taste has a wonderful sweetness, but not over the top like I thought the Oak Aged version was, with the stout bitterness. This is a wonderful beer.

Near black colored with red hints. Medium sized beige head. Strong roasted aroma with vanilla note, berries, creamy chocolate and fine hops also present, soft aroma which reminds me lot about oak-aged brother of this. Medium to full bodied, smooth and creamy palate. Flavor is also rich with roastiness and chocolaty-caramelly tone in start, aftertaste turns to hopped with sweet chocolate still. Finely balanced and rather similar to OA-version.

Pours a dark black with a thin tan head. Nice aroma of chocolate, and actually a lot of hops. For an Imperial Stout the hops actually really stand out. Nice full body. A really good Imperial Stout. Worth a try.
