| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 23, 2008 If it wasn’t for the glass I drank it in, I think I’d score it differently... in other words, less. Super heavy hoppiness. Strong linger. Very palletable when served correctly. All in all, a standard imperial stout with a little character. moseefus (58), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 22, 2008 Poured black, with a tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, and the roasted malts. Flavor was intense, bringing all the smells to my palate, adding a hint of caramel, and something I couldn’t identify but didn’t like. The finish was bitter to me, not as smooth as I like my stouts. Very full and heavy body. Worth the try, but will stick with other stouts personally. hopdog (5555), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 22, 2008 22oz bottle. Poured a dark black color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of roast, chocolate, hoppy, dark fruits, and light coffee. Tastes of roast, hops, chocolate, dark fruits, coffee, and caramel. Lacing left on the glass. Slipstream (747), USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 22, 2008 Updated: Jan 23, 2008Black beer with a small, tan head. A floral aroma that is not that strong. Very good flavor - a rich, mighty stout - malty sweeet, but not too sugary, hints of cherries and chocolate, and with a hoppy finish. This is a little reminiscent of an abbey ale. A very tasty stout - but not worth the 10 US$ for a 22 ounce bottle that I had to pay. ReademNwheat (174), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 21, 2008 From a bottle. pours very dark and has some amber come through when held up to a light. Aroma is malty, chocolate, coffee, and some caramel along with noticible hops. The first sip reveals much of what I smelled. Surprising this beer is pretty hoppy... alot more than other imperial stouts I’ve had. Great beer and the oak aged one is even better. BOLTZ7555 (1080), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 20, 2008 Great Divide is a highly underrated brewery. They produce a number of extremely well-crafted beers. I don’t think I’ve tried one I didn’t appreciate. This beer lacks the uniqueness or complexity of its alter-ego, Oak-Aged Yeti Imperial Stout but is delicious non-the-less. This gives you everything you would expect in a stout...black, small tan head...roasted coffee, toffee, and bitter chocolate. This one won’t disappoint. blipp (1652), Newark, New Jersey, USA

Mostly bittersweet nose with notes of roasted malt, coffee, some chocolate and a hint of citrusy hops. A moderately full mouthfeel, could be better. Tastes of burnt wood, roasted malt, coffee, caramel and dark chocolate. Solid hop presence is noticeable. An outstanding beer. Ethereal (1500), London, Greater London, England
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 18, 2008 Bottle at Microbar, Clapham, 14th Jan 08. Pours ink black with little head. Knockout aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, blackcurrant, plums and berries. Similar flavour - endless rich dark fruit flavours and then a long bitter finish. Palate is smooth as silk. Awesome beer!
