Commercial Description:
Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti's hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Love this beer. Dark as night. Nose of roasted malts, coffee, dark sugar and chocolate. Tastes very much the same, and add in some dark fruits to that as well. Very nice finish. Yummmm.

Bottle: Poured motor oil black with a thick dark tan head. Aroma was caramel and coffee. Taste was roasty, licorice, mint chocolate, and a tiny bit of alcohol. The mouth feel is also tremendous, very full bodied. There is a lot going on in this beer, really great overall.

Pours adark black with a nthick coffee colored head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and sugar. Tastes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee and smoe dark berries. Has a very smooth taste in which the high alcohol content is nicely masked.

22oz Bottle: Pours an almost black with a dark tan medium head. Some lacing is present. The aroma is drive by chocolate, coffee and roast. The taste is similar with chocolate and coffee dominating the flavor with a hint of hop bitterness and alcohol on the finish. The palate is good but not as solid as I want. This is a very good IS and more drinkable every day than the Oak Aged. My sample was at least a couple of years old so it has had time to mellow.

Aroma: heavy, dark, smoky, vanilla... chocolate malt, chocfudge. Molasses, delicious. Slightly of citrusy but elegant hops. Overall liqueurlike and rich.
Appearance: black (brown rind), fluffy, beautiful, THICK, light brown head.
Flavour: sweet, nice, fresh sourish citrus. Hoppy quality with crisp bitterness in nice balance with the heavy malts. Full-bodied and delicate yet dynamic and refreshing. Aftertaste of coffe and mature cheese...
Palate: soft, fluffy, big and vinous, very nice.

Bottled. Vlack with a brown/orange head. Malty and soruish nose; vinous with sweet fruits. Salty aroma from tar and peat. A lot of salty licorice-flavour. Full-bodied with loads of burnt malt. Vinous and fruity.

Pitch black, brown head. Fruity aroma, plums, coffee, chocolate. Lots of fruit and bitterness in the taste, along with roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. A bit too floral to strike top points.
