Commercial Description:
Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti's hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Bottle from Utobeer market stall. Pours black with a light tan head which leaves some nice lacing once it dissipates. Aromas of chocolate, almonds, smoke, winter berries. Extremely tasty flavours of chocolate, coffee, caramel. Culminates in a big, bold dry hoppy finish. Very nice.

Pours thick and black with a nice light brown head that leaves a decent amount of lacing and retains well for something this thick. The aroma is full of chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, and a bit of pine. Lots of sweet chocolate and coffee initially, then fades into a mix of both coffee and hop bitterness. A slight amount of citrus is detectable at the finish. The coffee bitterness lingers for a long time. Huge bodied with light, tingling carbonation. Great brew.

22 oz bomber. Pours black with hints of dark burgundy in the light. Fantastic aroma of caramel, chocolate. Nice vanilla sweetness up front with a solid coffee back end bitterness. Full bodied incredibly drinkable impy stout and definitely one of my favorite straight up imperial stouts.

Looks like thick, black motor oil. Dark as midnight. Large dark brown puffy head. Looks big and formidable. The smell is a heavy roasted coffee smell. Undercurrent of light berries and also dark grapes. Both sweet and bitter. The flavor is a major burnt roasted taste. Very strong alcohol presence. Sweet second wave. Tastes like a burnt cookie. Incredibly harsh. Not smooth like a typical Imperial stout. Really brutal. Bitter/sour berry aftertaste. Feels thick and coarse. Not at all smooth, not in the least. This baby is a heavy-hitter. It’s really strong. Which isn’t to say it isn’t good, it’s just frickin’ harsh.

A black colored beer, with a dark brown thick foamy head. The aroma of hop bitter, with dark chocolate and coffee. There are dark fruits with roasted malts. The taste of little hop bitter with dark fruits, bitter chocolate and some coffee. A little laurel drop. The aftertaste of bitter chcoclate with notes of sweet.

750ml: pint glass: the pour is an insanely dark, coffee brown, no light gets through. Leaves about a half finger of the most brown head I’ve ever seen! The nose is just as dark... strong roasted notes, earthy tones, some coffee bitters. The taste is also dark, very complex. All the earthy, jerz, coffee, bitter notes I was expecting on the front; however the end revealed some strong esters and lighter, sugary notes. The taste is complex and balanced without a question HOWEVER I felt that some of the flavors were artificial, like maybe syrups were used. Overall a very strong representation of the style. Ɠ.95)
