Commercial Description:
Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti's hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Oh this was a good beer! The commercial description is accurate and this brew lives up to the hype. Hated splitting this with my wife.....

Pours a dark luscious black with brown bubbly sexy head. Aroma of sweet chocolate and hops. Taste of toffee, sweet malts, fresh hops, chocolate, and caramel. Very well balanced. This stuff was so good. I want some more!

Pours a prune juice color and consistency with a dense tan cap that leaves beige lacing on the glass. Wonderfully malty nose with chocolate, burnt toffee, prunes, and soy sauce (it’s a first for me). Smooth, satiny feel with dark chocolate, espresso, malted dark caramel, and a nice hop tingle. Truly the real Dark Knight!

A top-notch imperial stout that’s all the better for the fact that it’s always available. Not quite as good as Old Rasputin, but probably the second-best stout available year-round.
