Commercial Description:
Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti's hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

12 oz. bottle. Pours a thick black with a nice light tannish brown head. Aromas of fruit, chocolate, and coffee emerge immediately after the pour. Similar flavors on the palate. Medium to heavily bodied. Very tasty and enjoyable.

12 fl.oz. bottle, bought at Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam. Superdark, black body with a fine creamy beige head. Rich aroma of plum, vanilla and coffee, deep roasted grains, liqueric dark chocolate. The beer has an oily body with flavor of heavily roasted malts, coffee, dark choclate and tobaccoo. Fine balanced, powerful fruity-resiny hop character touches and cramps the tongue in the finish, deep roasted aftertaste makes the feeling complex. Superb one.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a huge lasting cappuccino coloured head that leaves nice lacings on the glass. Aromas of spruce, coffee, chocolate, licorice and roasted malt. Rich and smooth texture. Hard roasted flavour with notes of sweet malt, caramel, resin, coffee, chocolate and fruity hops. Super balanced and super powerfull. Great stuff!

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate cake-I am still amazed at how much it really smelled like chocolate cake. I guess the breadiness from the malt & the chocolate-taste from the roasted malt made for a interesting chocolate cake smell. Taste is chocolate a little coffee, burnt, alcohol, & bitter taste. Mmm chocolate cake.

DARK with a brown, thick head. Dark chocolate & coffee taste with lots of roasted malt. Almost a dark coffee bean roast, like Italian Robusto blend. Heavy, viscous but packed with great flavor.

One of my favorite Imperial Stouts. Great smell of chocolate, toffee, and plenty of hops. Pours very dark, with a frothy brown head. Very flavorful taste of chocolate, coffee, and caramel. Excellent stuff!
