Commercial Description:
Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti's hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Black bour with a thick rich, sticky caramel brown head that lasted the entire time. Thick creamy lacing. Smells delicious. Coffee, chocolate, roasty sweetness. Taste is rich, thick, and coats the entire tongue with a powdery bitterness, similar to bitter cocoa powder. Long lasting finish with a good mouthfeel. The high alcohol content was hidden well in my opinion.

22 oz. bottle - Pours thick and black with a light tan head that faded quickly. Very light lacing. Aroma is chocolate with some light esters. Flavor is chocolate and coffee. I can’t detect much of the hops. Medium to full body. Slight alcohol warming. Very smooth. Good beer.

22oz bottle from bottle trek. Pours opaque with a small chocolaty head, some lacing. Cocoa, caramel, toffee and chocolate rounded out both nose and flavor. A great imperial stout!

licorice, raisin, port, milk chocolate, dark plum , and grass dance throughout the nose like John travolta in Grease....the beer was black as black is and was covered by a medly of small and medium sized frothy bubbles...Hoppy intro, especially for an imperial stout...and this is followed by chocolate raisin...damn this is one bitter stout....with a lot of roasty notes too...too many for an imperial stout.

Bomber. Pours black in color. Small bit of head. Sweet, milky, chocolate aroma. Coffee with sugar. Quite a bit of hoppy bitterness right up front. Some roasted coffee flavors. Followed by a hint of sweetness. Bitter finish like burnt coffee beans. Some alcohol is present in the finish. Full flavored impy. Nice winter warmer.

22oz btl. A coal black pour with a dark tan head and lace. The head is short lived. An aroma of dark almost burnt chocolate, just a hint of abv on the nose. A flavor that mirrors the aroma. It has the chocoespresso flavor that all IS should be required to have. It is a bit sweet going in and fades to a light bitter that progresses to a more prominate bitter. A mouthfeel that is almost slick but smooth. Carbonation is excellent. A beer I’ve had many times and just got around to rating today. The rating reflects why I buy one almost everytime I go where they sell them.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of Secret Santa. Pours an opaque black with a massive mocha colored head. Lots of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee in the aroma. Lots of flavor in this brew too. Initially, there is plenty of roasted malt with chocolate also very present. The coffee is there as well, but not as strong as the other two. After a few seconds, a long, bitter finish kicks in from the hops. There is also some heat from the alcohol in the finish. Really, really good stuff!
