This beer is excellent! Ok, im going on a rant here. This beer is very under-rated IMO. Tons of chocolate notes that meld with caramel and toffee to create the taste of a milky way candy bar. For me, this is a top 10 imperial stout! Very under-rated. This will age very nicely and cant wait to see how it turns out.

Aroams are very sweet. Orange, Cherry, dried fruit, some sweet chocolate. More chocolate covered cherries after a few sniffs. Lots of chocolate in the flavor. Much roastiness up front. Some alcohol warming in the middle along with some more dark fruit. A not so bitter but hoppy finish is wonderful. Excellent

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 6, 2004 Updated: May 7, 2004Yeti 04 - Pitch black, creamy dark tan head. The nose on this killer brew is loads of citric fruits, roasted cocoa, vanilla, toffee, charred coffee beans, and a few vinous notes upon swirling in the snifter. Flavor is similar, but the IBU’s shine thru with a nice hoppy citirc fruit kick that is balanced by the rich malty roasted coffee and caramel undertones. Full bodied, soft carbonation, semi-dry, hoppy finish. Another "big beer" winner from Great Divide. Thanks again Brian. MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 27, 2004 Uh, wooooo. Deep viscous black with a beautiful blood red head. Rich nose, chocolate and loads of malts, lots of molasses and plums. Very good flavor, strong and very vinous. Huge roasted malts, lots of chocolate, a pleasing hint of bitterness at the end. Full and creamy, yet very quaffable. Quite spectacular. StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 6, 2005 Gentle hiss as the cap comes off, followed by a thick black pour. Head varies from time to time, but it’s always dark tan in color. Vibrant caramel, black currant, burnt rubber, smoke, roasty double espresso, dark unsweetened chocolate and cola comprise the aroma. Flavor begins with a heavy heap of French roasted coffee. Dark chocolate - abandoned by sugar - helps to compliment the expressive IBUs, giving a smooth yet abrasive dosage with each sip. The word "epitome" comes to mind for those imperials aiming to have a high IBU stat and embody coffee qualities. That being said, I’d like a touch more malt sweetness, but I’m not complaining. IBUs fill in the roll vacated by carbonation. Heavy, residual coffee blackening on the palate with an amped-up balance quotient. Finishes like a handful of coffee grinds. Damn enjoyable.
