Commercial Description:
Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti's hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

A great dark black color with a light brown head. A nice roasted smell with some hops. A big malty, roasty taste with a nice hop bitter finish. Can taste some chocolate with slight coffee. Great!

Pours with a one-finger brown head that fades slowly and leaves some lace. Totally black color. Medium carbonation and heavy bodied. Nose is a weak but sweet chocolate. Starts with a chocolate/coffee flavor and finishes bitter. Easy to drink, alcohol is not noticeable. $4.79 for a 22 oz bottle; found at Liquor Barn, Lexington, KY. Label has changed, it is called Maverick instead of Yeti now - label lists 75 IBUs and 9.5% ABV.

Bottle. Pours black with a thin brown head. Mostly bittersweet nose with notes of roasted malt, coffee, some chocolate and a hint of citrusy hops. A moderately full mouthfeel, could be better. Tastes of burnt wood, roasted malt, coffee, caramel and dark chocolate. Solid hop presence is noticeable. An outstanding beer.

Rating #100. 22oz Bottle. Pours deep black, can see thickness in the pour. Great chocolate tan head. Initial aroma and taste is hops, with dark chocolate and roast coffee bean. As this beer warms, it displays even more of the deep roast taste. Great beer.

Lucious dark brown head, plenty of sticky brown lace. Its black its BIG and its bold! Fruity, roasty, thick, creamy, well hopped, chocolatey, cocoa, and vinous notes. One big brew, good and chewy with a touch of alcohol to top it off, NICE.... BIGASS Thanks again to snowtiger for this one.

much thanks to brock_landers for sending me this impy stout.i poured a bit into my snifter glass and was greeted with a super black body and nice looking fudge colored head.the aroma was a mixture of brownies, roasted malts, sugar, and fudge.the first sip lit me eyes up with delight.the palate was very complex and changed even after sending the brew down my throat.the flavors were:chocolate, coffee, fudge, smoke, brownies,a tiny bit of beef jerkey, some hops, damn, its like the energizer bunny.it keeps going, and going, and going.....the mouthfeel was nice and thick and the alcohol was well masked.this is nothing short of exceptional.

22oz Bottle Pours out a nice ink black topped with a Great tan head. Very nice aroma of roast, vanilla and some chocolate. The tast is pretty good as well, a little sweet and some of that 9.5% comes in.

Figured it was a good time to try this one while nervously watching my Bears in the Super Bowl. 22 oz bomber from some time in 2006. Deep black pour with a nice creamy tan head. Sweet aroma with plenty of chocolate & coffee, plus some cream. Creamy chocolate and roasted malt taste. Nice hop backing, with a thick hoppy finish. Very good Impy stout - can’t wait to try the Oak aged version!
