Commercial Description:
Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti's hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

(on bottle) Black as a grave, funny for a beer named after a snow-monster. Toffee-coloured head. Strong aroma of coffee beans and salted fish(?). Fullmalted taste, quite bitter, could be more smooth, but it seems lik the BU is too high for the alcohol and malts to handle. guess Ungstrup can bye ´em all of Jeppe without me crying.

Poured jet black, with a murky tan head. Dark roasted malts, abit of sweetness on the back of the tongue, nice warming brew. I liked the hops in this one too. A great brew! Thanks to tjthresh for the Beer!

From a 22 oz. bomber bottle with a blurb along the left side of label, no year or freshness date I could find. Poured a lightly ruby hued dark chocolate brown with a rocky, creamy tan head, small amount of ringed sticking. Aromas of dark ripe berry fruitiness, hints of vanilla, coffee with a light chocolate, and small whiffs of alcohol. Good moderate carbonation and a chewy, creamy smooth, slick, full bodied mouthfeel. Smooth, easy sipping, satisfying taste, roasted chocolate mingled with coffee, a subtle berry fruitiness, a little vanilla and molasses, a citric hop bite towards the end, the alcohol is in the background and warming in the palate, and a dry roasted malty, fruity finish. A really nice RIS from Great Divide, a pleasant drinkability, very nice on a cold, windy midwest evening.

Wow. Poured deep black with the darkest head that I have seen since the reverend Redhook Double Black Stout. Very enticing aroma. Lovely mouthfeel. I wonder if this one will age well. I plan on finding out. One of the best Imperial Stouts that I have ever had, hands down.

Dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, roasted malts. Taste of chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, mild sweet malt. Finishes up with some roasted malt bitterness. Pretty good imp stout.

bottle 1/06. dark brown pour with a fluffy tan head. aromas of milk chocolate, red apple, toffee, wood and citrus rind. rich medium mouth feel. flavor mirrors the aroma with the additions of aspirin, slight fruit acidity and a mildly bitter coffee finish. alcohol is present on the breath. very well balanced...nothing really stands out

Super stout, black in color, decent tan head which disappeared rather quickly, excellent lacing left around the glass though, aroma full of roasted malt, chocolate & coffee, very smooth & drinkable, alcohol level is hidden vey well, almost too well, flavors were a wonderful complexitty of dark chocolate, caramel, dark roasted coffee & just enough bitterness from hops to balance it all out, wonderful stout

Bottle Pours a moderately thick oily black with a chocolate tan head. Aromas are of prunes, grapes, sweet chocolate and a little coffee and alcohol. Lots of thick sheeting lacing. Flavors are mostly dark smokey charcoal notes with some coffee and dark pitted fruits.Quite bitter with hops and dark roasted flavors as well. The trailer is a lingering bitter, woody sense. Very thick smooth feel. Terrific.
