bp (357), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 24, 2007 Bottle: dark black pour with a tan head, burnt toffee, coffee and malt, taste is caramel, dark chocolate, with a slight hop presence in the finish, this is a very nice imperial stout. I’ve had the Oak Aged on draft (didn’t take notes though) and don’t recall liking it as much as this. Perhaps I was already drunk and didn’t realize what I was drinking.

Hoppy notes with citrus and some spruce in the aroma. Bitter from the hops, with some bitter chocolate malts, toasty and roasty. Oily palate. Flavor clings. KieferUGA (404), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jan 3, 2009 22 oz. bottle. Dark black pour with a large, frothy dark tan head. Aroma of chocolate and piney hops. Creamy mouthfeel. Flavor is nice and bitter, with hints of chocolate, roasted coffee, and burnt notes. Finish is bitter with dark fruit undertones. SuzyGreenberg (1119), Seattle, Washington, USA Dec 30, 2008 22 oz. bottle - side by side with the oak and BA versions; jet black with quickly fading tan head; heavy on the bitterness with huge coffee aromas; drinks dry and sweet; plenty of chocolate, but coffee dominates and the hops add to that bitterness; very nice overall, but not quite as smooth as the oaked version and much more enjoyable than the BA version mgoy (305), Oak Brook, Illinois, USA Dec 29, 2008 Great Divide Yeti Imperial Stout is a black beer with a cloud-like mocha head. The aroma is fantastic with notes of coffee, chocolate and tons of roasted malt. The flavor is a perfect copy of the aroma. This beer packs a very large punch of bitter hops and is well balanced while pushing all of the limits. Butters (733), Temporarily in Nashville, Tennessee, USA Dec 29, 2008 Great near black pour with dark brown head. Sweet lactic malty aroma, with light bitter chocolate and some oakey wood. Flavor is roasty medium chocolate with some bitterness and abv on the finish. Medium full body is creamy and chalky. Very enjoyable.
