Commercial Description:
Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti's hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

very black color if there is such a thing black is black right. There was a nice small head that was a creamy dark brown that lasted a very long time.malty hoppy aroma with a mild hint of chocolate and coffee maybe mildly sweet with a mild sour side, and light caramel. The flavor is very malty with a very, very, nice hop presence and chocolate or cocoa mildly sweet at first then a nice dark chocolate flavor comes through, maybe a light coffe taste as well. The after taste is malty, hops and mildly bitter, this is a fantastic brew, damn what a great trade this worked out to be.Thanks go out to Raindog for this brew, sorry the brews never made it to the weekend but hey it was well worth the enoremous buzz i have right now. Your the man when it comes to fine brews.

Pretty standard for a top-notch Impy. Heavy roasted-cocoa aroma, densely flavored. Not much head to speak of, actually. Finishes just fine with the usual Impy alcohol sting somewhere back there.

Bottled. Sampled at plan b during the RBESG pub crawl. Black, with a tint of red. Roasty nose, with notes of coffee, chocolate and a wonderful accompanying hop tone. Body is extremely rounded. Coffee and dark chocolate notes. Amazingly yummy.

For me this is a near-perfect imperial stout. 9.5% ABV and full of roasted, burnt, malty flavor. But it’s all well-balanced with a healthy dose of hops, resulting in 75 IBU’s. Truly an incredible beer.

After having a whole bunch if different impy stouts recently, this one may be the best of the lot. Thanks to Eyedrinkale for supplying the bottle. Deep dark brown, tan head. Roasty chocolate alcohol aroma that makes you know this is a great brew. Big extremely smooth flavor. Sweet dark chocolate, vanilla, coffee. Roasty bitterness lingers. This is fantastic!

Along the lines of Stone Impy, which is never a bad thing. Black, nice, long lasting dark tan head, amazing lacing. Aroma is of pine with slight chocolate notes, very nice and up front. Full onslaught in the mouth, roasty, notes of chocolate, with a piney hop finish. That pepsin flavor that I love. This is my kind of Imperial Stout! Great balance between malt and hop. I quiver at the thought of an oak aged version. Perhaps not quite as complex as others, but still a mighty fine brew.

Bottle. Ok, this is truly embarrasing. I made alot of notes about the beer, only to waste them in the laundry later on. So I will give it a try without the notes. Black color, nice big lasting brown head. Great roasted aroma with tar, chocolate, cocoa, licorice and lots of really bitter hops. Flavor is as raosted and bitter, chocolate, licorice, tar and cocoa. Lovely bitterness and a wonderful body. I promise to save my notes next time I try this beer...

Had this before and loved it, but wanted to do a vertical with an Oak aged. Still phenomenal, with a great malt backbone and tons of hops. Lots of coffee, and while not as rounded as the Oak Aged, still world class.
